Episode 470: Santo en Anónimo Mortal AKA- Santo in Anonymous Death Threat

The B-Movie Cast is back! This time Mary and Nic are joined by Juan to explore serious social issues and… oh who am I kidding? We’re here to watch Santo, the masked wrestler kick some Nazi butt in “Santo en Anónimo Mortal” AKA- “Santo in Anonymous Death Threat”. This 1975 Santo flick features the masked wrestler solving murders with his two companions and sporting the latest in business suit fashion. It also has a whole bunch of Nazis who have apparently turned what looks like the ballroom at the Mexico City Holiday Inn into their nefarious, and extremely over-chaired, lair! So, grab a cerveza and tune it to “Santo en Anónimo Mortal” AKA- “Santo in Anonymous Death Threat”.

Episode 469: Dr. No

The B-Movie Cast is back! In this episode, we’re starting our new “B is for Bond” Movie Cast series with a look at some of our favorite James Bond films! Where do you start with James Bond? At the beginning of course so we’re taking a look at the classic “Dr. No”. Joining Mary and Nic to talk about “Dr. No.” is none other than Mark Mawston! Mark is a professional photographer who has worked with the Bond film promotions team for over a decade. He was involved in the 50th-anniversary documentary and has met more of the Bond creators and stars than anyone outside of Roger Moore! So, start shaking your vodka martinis and get ready for the B-is-for-Bond-Movie Cast as we cover “Dr. No”!

Episode 468: The Skull

The B-Movie Cast is back! Mary and Nic are on their own this week as Juan was in the middle of a two-day power outage! That’s OK though because there was enough spooky fun to keep it real as we check out “The Skull” from 1965. This British horror film directed by Freddie Francis for Amicus Productions and starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. What happens when a Phrenologist digs up the head of the Marquis de Sade? Nothing good I assure you! So, grab some marshmallows, a cold drink, and a comfy chair and get ready for a horror movie ‘a head’ of its time with “The Skull”

Episode 467: Dos Monjes (Two Monks)

B-Movie Cast fans get ready for spooky fun from south of the border! In this episode, Mary, Nic, and Juan check out another classic Mexican thriller: “Dos Monjes” (“Two Monks”). A fascinating flick that has Mary saying “German Expressionist” more times than any film we’ve ever done! So, grab your favorite beer, get in that comfy chair and get ready for some fun with “Two Monks” on the B-Movie Cast!

Episode 466: Rasputin, The Mad Monk

In this episode of the B-Movie Cast, Mary and Nic are joined by our resident guru of Eastern European and Russian history, Matt Kowalski! Matt is joining us to take a deep dive into the world of Rasputin… well at least according to Hammer Studio’s 1966 film: “Rasputin, The Mad Monk”. Seems this historical flick is even less history-based than many, but with good reason! So, grab yourself a glass of vodka and get ready to go a little mad with “Rasputin, The Mad Monk”!
