Episode 482: The Face Behind the Mask

Hey B-Movie Cast family! In this episode Mary and Nic are joined by Juan from the creepy swamps! We check out a classic bit of film noir: “The Face Behind the Mask” from 1941. Great film starring Peter Lorre and Evelyn Keyes. Lorre is an immigrant coming to America to make a new life, only a tragic fire leaves him horribly disfigured. Episode 481: The Big Brawl- AKA- The Battle Creek Brawl

The B-Movie Cast is back! In this episode, Mary and Nic are joined by filmmaker, actor, and martial arts movie aficionado, Michael Worth. Michael has taken a break from filmmaking, writing about ‘Bruce-splotation’ films, and launching The Pearl River Collection (of lost Martial Arts flicks) through VCI Entertainment, to check out Robert Clouse’s attempt… ok maybe his third or fourth attempt at this point, to recreate the magic of “Enter the Dragon”, this time with Jackie Chan in “The Big Brawl” (AKA “The Battle Creek Brawl”! We’ve got Jackie Chan kicking some but and showing his stunt skills in 1930s Chicago as he is forced to fight for the mob in the world’s most well-publicized illegal bare-knuckle free-for-all! So, get ready for a fast-paced, action-packed, kung fu fest that may not be Jackie Chan’s best film, but it was certainly his most old-time gangstery one!

Episode 480: Killer Crocodile

The B-Movie Cast is back! In this episode Mary and Nic are joined by Dr. Adrian Smith. Adrian takes a break from lecturing at the University of Sussex to help us figure out how many environmentalists does it take to kill one crocodile? The answer is one if it’s Anthony Crenna (yes, he’s Richard Crenna’s son) in the Italian 80s horror romp “Killer Crocodile”. We’re diving headfirst into the radioactive waters of an unnamed river in the Dominican Republic so we can see what happens when you want to rip off “Jaws” but can’t afford a mechanical shark. So, grab your Bat-anti-crocodile spray, a cold beverage, and join us as we take a bite out of “Killer Crocodile”.
