The Holiday season has The B-Movie Cast in a tizzy! So much so, that Mary picked the strangest holiday film I think she’s ever chosen… “Day of the Beast” (El Dia de la Bestia)! Juan and Nic join Mary for the this tripped out tour of Madrid as a priest goes on a mission to commit as many sins as possible because he believes this will help him stop the birth of the Anti-Christ! Spoiler alert- you need to watch this one before you check out the show! Now, grab a beer, some rosary beads and get ready to enter the Christmas miracle that is “Day of the Beast” on this episode of the B-Movie Cast!

Episode 503: John Carpenter’s Halloween, 1978

It’s Halloween and the B-Movie Cast is back with our annual Halloween special featuring photographer Mark Mawston! Mark suggested we do the Horror classic from 1978: “Halloween” and that’s when Mary and Nic realized… We’d never done it! When we got over the shock that we hadn’t, it was full scream ahead for one of Nic’s favorite films. Featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, Donald Pleasence, PJ Soles one of the most famous film scores ever, and the start of a whole lot of genre tropes! Get ready for a look at what is possibly John Carpenter’s most iconic work, the original “Halloween”!

Episode 502: It’s Alive! (1974)

After a longer than expected hiatus, the B-Movie Cast is back again! This time Mary and Nic are joined by gentle listener, and fellow podcaster Bill Mize! Bill took a break from board gaming and podcasting to join us for a family film of a different sort- the 1974 cult classic “It’s Alive”! Writer, director Larry Cohen works out some daddy issues in this film about a mutant, killer baby, and a father torn between his repulsion at the monster and his love for his child. It’s a better film than it should be, with social messages, character growth, and a couple of quick looks at FX master Rick Baker’s crazy killer baby suit! Get ready for some crazy baby physics and a lot of weirdness as the B-Movie Cast checks out “It’s Alive”!

Episode 492: The Werewolf and the Yeti (AKA: Night of the Howling Beast)

The B-Movie Cast is taking a bite out of a Paul Naschy werewolf flick: “The Werewolf and the Yeti” (AKA: “Night of the Howling Beast”) for our #9 film in the countdown to our 500th episode! Joining Mary and Nic in this fur-fest is podcaster and Paul Naschy aficionado; Rod Barnett. Get ready for the werewolf vs yeti film with the least possible amount of yeti they could get by with. What it doesn’t have in yeti it makes up for with a whole lot of plot not getting in the way of the story. There’s also not a lot of continuity, but there is a ton of fun as we watch Paul Naschy try to pass off Spain for Tibet and silk shirts for hiking clothes! So, grab some tapas and a cold beverage and get ready for “The Werewolf and the Yeti” in this episode of The B-Movie Cast!

Episode 490: Return to Youth (Returno A La Juventud)

The B-Movie Cast is going south of the border again for some Twilight-Zone-like fun with “Return to Youth” (“Returno A La Juventud”). It’s the story of an old professor with the hots for a young student. When she rebuffs his advances he does what anyone would do; sells his soul to return to youth! Now he’s got to do the devil’s work or it’s all over for him! Join Mary, Nic, and Juan as they find out what happens when you make a deal with the devil in “Return to Youth”.

Episode 486: Near Dark

The B-Movie Cast is back! This episode Mary and Nic are joined by special guest film maker Michael Worth! The gang takes a look at the 1987 modern day vampire western “Near Dark” starring Bill Paxton, Lance Henricksen, and Tim Thomerson. As a special treat, Michael did an interview with Tim Thomerson just for the B-Movie Cast and we’ve included it, in it’s entirety in this episode! So grab a beer and some sunscreen and get ready for the coolest vampire movie that never says the word vampire: “Near Dark”.
