On today’s show Nic and I will be talking about two films first up is “Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey” A documentary about the inventor of the first electronic synthesiser instrument and his subsequent life after he was abducted by the KGB as well as a history of his instrument and after that we will be taking a trip to Hainesville and talking about a film from none other than Mr. BIG himself Bert I. Gordon. 1965’s “Village of the Giants”. Loosely based on the H.G. Wells story “The Food of the Gods”. It’s a crazy B-Movie with a wild cast.

Episode 498: Gymkata

The B-Movie Cast is back and the countdown to our 500th episode continues! For film #3 in the countdown, Mary and Nic are joined by show favorite Michael Worth! The gang checks out “Gymkata” the most gymnastics filled rip off of “Enter the Dragon” that director Robert Clouse could come up with in his desperate attempt to recreate the lightning-in-a-bottle magic of his original work on the Bruce Lee classic! This film has everything you could hope for in a martial arts film shot in Hungary from rural villages filled with conveniently placed gymnastics equipment to the director employing the real residents of a local mental hospital to play a town full of crazies! So chalk up your hands and get ready to flip for the first… and last… film to claim to be the ultimate mix of Olympic gymnastics and martial arts- “Gymkata” on episode 498 of the B-Movie Cast!

BMC321-The Long Hair of Death 1964

The

Witchcraft, execution, supernatural horror

This week at The B-Movie Clubhouse Nic is out movie producing so our friend Dave Thomas from the U.K. will join the gang. This week we picked and atmospheric Italian film from 1964 called The Long Hair of Death. The film stars Barbara Steele.

In a 15th-century feudal village, a woman is accused of witchcraft and put to death. Her beautiful older daughter knows the real reason for the execution lies in the lord’s sexual desire for her mother. After confronting the lord on the matter, she, too, is killed.

Plus we have some great feedback.
