Episode 464: Black Sunday- Dedicated to John Richardson

The B-Movie Cast is back with a very special episode. In January 2021 actor John Richardson passed from Covid-19. John was a friend of cast favorite, Mark Mawston. Mark asked if we could do a show dedicated to John and look at one of the actor’s favorite films: “Black Sunday” (AKA “The Mask of The Demon”). As a special treat, Mark arranged for John’s former domestic partner (no they were never married) two-time Bond Girl and Hammer Glamour Queen Martine Beswick! Martine shares stories of her time with John and how they met, plus more!

Also- Mark Mawston’s article about Ray Harryhausen’s 100th Birthday is a possible nominee for the 2020 Rondo awards! Visit the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation website to find out how you can help Mark and the Foundation with getting nominated for some well-deserved Rondo Award recognition!

Episode 431: Viy

In this episode of the B-Movie Cast Mary and Nic are joined by special guest Matt Kowalski. Matt knows a thing or two about Eastern Europe and that’s good because this episode we’re going behind the Iron Curtain to check out “Viy”. Made in 1967 It’s the first real horror film to come out of the Soviet Union.

Based on a story by Nikolai Gogol, “Viy” tells the tale of a priest who must spend 3 nights in a tomb with a dead body. The problem is, that the dead body has a bit of a demon problem. Oh, and the priest is really a seminary student who isn’t exactly the holiest of men.

So sit back, grab a beer and tune in to the newest episode of the B-Movie Cast!
