Episode 396: Attack of the Puppet People!

Hey B-Movie fans Mary, Juan and Nic are back at it again. This time we decided to check out something from Mr. B.I.G. himself: Bert i. Gordan’s “Attack of the Puppet People”.

This 1950’s classic was Gordan’s stab at jumping on the ‘shrink’ train after the success of “The Incredible Shrinking Man” and represents a change from Gordan’s usual giant themed films.

So grab a beer, warm up a TV dinner and check out “Attack of the Puppet People” on this episode of The B-Movie Podcast!

Episode 395: The Killer Shrews

This time the B-Movie Cast gang welcomes a special guest: Brian Cunningham! Brian is a professional filmmaker and co-owner of Thought Fly Productions in Louisville Kentucky. He’s worked with Nic on two film projects so far (“Loss Prevention” and “Wretch”) and when he’s not busy making movies he’s watching them!

Since we had a special guest for this week’s movie we thought we’d check out something really good. That didn’t work out so instead we’re doing “The Killer Shrews”!  That’s right! From Ray Kellogg, the man who brought us “The Giant Gila Monster” comes a tale of science gone wrong, of unrequited love, and most of all… the dangers of tripping over a log when running away from a pack of dogs with mops draped over them! Yes “The Killer Shrews”, a film that asks the question “what’s the tiniest, most harmless looking animal we can find and how can we convince people to be scared of it?”

So grab a beer, warm up the TV dinner and get ready for a love triangle between the runner-up for Miss Universe 1957, Roscoe P. Coletran and Festus… that’s right it’s “The Killer Shrews”!

Episode 394: Werewolves On Wheels

This time on The B-Movie Cast, Mary makes a mistake: she gave Nic a list of movies to choose from for the last podcast of 2017 and actually expected him to pick something other than the only film with the word “Werewolves” in the title!

That’s right Mary, Nic and Juan check out the best bike gang, satanic cult, werewolf movie made in 1971: “Werewolves On Wheels”! Join us as we thrill to the idea of seeing werewolves on motorcycles only to have our hopes dashed by the reality that not one single werewolf in the film actually rides a bike!

Episode 393: A Nightmare Before Christmas

Join us on a new episode of the B-Movie Cast! This time Mary picks a Christmas favorite of hers for us to check out: “A Nightmare Before Christmas”! So join Mary, Juan and me and we’ll take a look at a film that Disney made, but was so dark that they didn’t want to slap their name on it in case it scared kids and parents away from the box office! Tim Burton’s original story is the fuel for this flight into the world where are born!

Episode 392: Megaforce

This time on the B-Movie Cast Mary, Juan and Nic take a look at an 80’s classic… er… well maybe not classic, but it definitely came from the 80’s film: Megaforce! The greatest film about guys in gold spandex riding motorcycles and dune buggies in the desert ever made. Oh, and stuff gets blown up!

Do we need to say anymore?

Yes we do…
Thumb-kiss.

Episode 391: Mad Monster Party

This week the B-Movie Cast gang has a special guest! Mary and Nic are joined by Screem Magazine creator Darryl Mayeski.

We take a look at a classic Monster Kid favorite that often get’s overlooked today: Mad Monster Party!

This is a stop-motion… err I mean “Animagic” (Thanks MOM productions) feature film released by Rankin/Bass Productions. It’s no “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer” but then again what is? This fun little comedy/musical/surprisingly dark film will strike a cord with Monster Kids everywhere and it gives rise to Nic’s craziest theory yet about a Ridley Scott classic (you have to listen to find out more!).

Oh and visit www.Screemag.com to check out the cool “Mad Monster Party” alternative cover to the latest issue of Screemag. So sit back, grab a TV dinner and a beer and tune in for Mad Monster Party on the B-Movie Cast!
