The countdown to the B-Movie Cast’s 500th Episode has begun! For our #10 film in the countdown, we are looking at something new: the 1970s film craze that was ‘Nurseplotation’! To dive into the sub-genre, we’re checking “Candy Stripe Nurses” from 1974. Mary and Nic are joined in this raunchy film romp by two B-Movie Cast favorites- Beverly Gray and Allan Holzman, both of whom worked on the film with and have fun stories to tell about making the movie and working with Roger and Julie Corman at New World Pictures. Gun your engines and get ready for the car chase that started the directorial career of one of Hollywood’s biggest directors: Ron Howard! That’s right. The B-Movie Cast is back and we’re checking out the 1977 crash-em-up comedy “Grand Theft Auto”! To help Mary and Nic dig into this Roger Corman classic we’re joined by Beverly Gray. Beverly is an author, film historian. She worked with Corman and later his Concorde-New Horizons Pictures on 170 films…. Oh, and did we mention her biography of actor/filmmaker Ron Howard?
