Episode 472: Grand Theft Auto (1977 Movie)

Gun your engines and get ready for the car chase that started the directorial career of one of Hollywood’s biggest directors: Ron Howard! That’s right. The B-Movie Cast is back and we’re checking out the 1977 crash-em-up comedy “Grand Theft Auto”! To help Mary and Nic dig into this Roger Corman classic we’re joined by Beverly Gray. Beverly is an author, film historian. She worked with Corman and later his Concorde-New Horizons Pictures on 170 films…. Oh, and did we mention her biography of actor/filmmaker Ron Howard? Yeah, she’s a pretty good one to talk about Ron Howard’s directorial debut! So, make sure your car insurance is paid up and tune in to the “Grand Theft Auto” episode of the B-Movie Cast!

Also, here’s a special treat from our buddy Mark Mawston:

Atom

He’s Pure Evil. Pure Power. Pure Terror.

This week in the B-movie clubhouse special guest Derek Koch from the 1951 Down Place podcast will join Nic, Mary, I as we talk about a guilty pleasure of mine called “Atom Age Vampire” (Seddok, l’erede di Satana) from 1960. I have had many bad copies of the cut US release but I recently found an uncut Italian version on Amazon Italy. The film stars Alberto Lupo, Susanne Loret and Sergio Fantoni.

Plus we have some great feedback.
