The film was directed by Eugene Lourie and stars Paul Hubschmid, Paula Raymond and Kenneth Tobey.

It is a deliberate attempt to emulate the success of Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954). The film stars Les Tremayne, John Harmon, Jeanne Carmen and Don Sullivan.
