The B-Movie Cast is back and this time Nic and Mary are joined by special guest Eric Brooks. The gang check out one of the 1981 cinematic Werewolf movie trinity: “Wolfen”. We’ve got an apocalyptic looking New York neighborhood mixed with a liberal dose of Native American folklore and some sinister urban wolves all stirred up into the most underrated of 1981’s three entries in the Werewolf genre!
Here’s a bonus- this website does an amazing job of ‘then-and-now’ for the New York City of “Wolfen” watch the film (we spoil it big time anyway) and then check out the site here- https://nycinfilm.com/2019/10/31/wolfen-1981/
Also of note – the B-Movie Cast will be going on hiatus (in case you hadn’t noticed). But like the Drive-In, The B-Movie Cast will never die so stay tuned!
Final note- From Nic to fan favorite Mark Mawston: We had some feedback that wasn’t favorable to Mark or myself. That said, it was more trolling than feedback and I’m sorry Mark for not sticking up for you when we aired that feedback. That one’s on me and I hope you’ll forgive me.
Keep your noses in the wind and your tails to yourselves and keep watching the skies!

The B-Movie Cast is back and this time we’re searching for the Abominable Snow man of the Himalayas. Only we couldn’t afford a trip to Napal, so we had to settle for John Caradine telling us all about how they found one in Nagano Japan! Join Mary, Nic, and Juan as we check out “Half Human” (original Japanese title: “J?jin Yuki Otoko” meaning ‘Beast/Forest Man, Snow Man”. In typical 1950s fashion, when it was released in the US, they stuck some American actors into cut scenes and built the story around them. In this case John Caradine narrates the whole film as a flashback as told to him by a Japanese colleague. Get ready for a whole lot of walking around in the woods and a monster covered all over with fur, but still somehow suffering from male pattern baldness! The B-Movie cast crew did a double header on this one, checking out the original Japanese version from 1955 and the American release from 1957. So, grab your skis and get ready for some fun with “Half Human” on the B-Movie Cast!

Well, if he’s pursuing the woman who’s painting is in the window across the way, it’s a lot. Grab your dark coat and hat and get ready for a trip to the shadier side of the movies with “The Woman in the Window” on the B-Movie Cast!

Sometimes a film is worth a second look, especially if Mark Mawston wants to talk about it on the show, so that’s why for this episode the B-Movie Cast is revisiting a true Sci-fi/Horror classic: “John Carpenter’s The Thing” from 1982. Get ready for paranoia on the screen and a lot of confusion from Mary on the podcast as Nic and Mark try, and fail, to help Mary understand what happened in this complicated update adaptation of the John W. Campbell novella ‘Who Goes There?’. So, get your blood tests ready and put on some warm clothes because the B-Movie Cast is heading for Outpost 31 and a rendezvous with “The Thing”.

The B-Movie Cast is determined to keep the holiday spirit alive by doing another Christmas film even though it’s January! This episode Matt Kowalski joins Mary and Nic as we check out the 1961 Hammer Film treat – “Cash On Demand”. It’s a thriller about a very ‘Scrooge’ like bank manager who is visited by a not-so-ghostly bank robber and learns a few lessons while the manager is forced to help rob his own bank! Starring Peter Cushing, this flick is well worth a look! So, get your yule-tide spirit out of the closet and dust it off for another Christmas themed film on the B-Movie Cast!

The B-Movie cast makes it big, really BIG when Mary, Nic and returning guest Bill Mize, check out the 1957, Bert I. Gordon classic “Beginning of the End”. Thrill to giant grasshoppers battling stock footage of the US military while trying not to fall off pictures of famous buildings! Yes, it’s some old school B-movie fun that features Peter Graves and a bevy of actors you’ve seen before, even if you don’t remember their names… don’t worry though, Mary wants to talk about each and every one of them! So, call your friends on your 1957 Chrysler New Yorker car phone and let them know you’re checking out “The Beginning of the End” on the B-Movie Cast!
