Episode 450 Part 2: Clash of the Titans!

Ladies and Gentlemen and mutants of all persuasions welcome to our very special two-part 450th episode! Mary and Nic are joined by some exciting guests. Fan-favorite Mark Mawston stops by along with filmmaker and Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation trustee John Walsh! In honor of film effects legend Ray Harryhausen’s 100th birthday, we’re looking at Ray’s last feature film “Clash of the Titans”. This film features some of Ray’s most celebrated creations including Medusa and The Kraken! John and Mark share personal stories from their relationships with Ray. John also shares with us two rare audio clips, original test submissions from composer John Barry for the movie’s orchestral score.  

In part two, Juan joins Mary and Nic to celebrate the 450th episode, give away prizes for this episode’s contest and check out our listener feedback!  

So grab a beverage, pop some corn and get ready for the biggest episode of the B-Movie cast yet!

Episode 444: When Worlds Collide

The B-Movie Cast is back! Mary, Nic, and Juan are checking out the 1951 Sci-Fi classic “When Worlds Collide”! This film helped set the bar for science fiction in the 1950s and still holds up today! Get your rocket ship ready because when worlds collide you don’t want to be stuck her on Earth!  So grab a drink, warm up a TV dinner and take a trip to the edge of reality with “When Worlds Collide”!

 

Episode 412: An American Werewolf in London

Hey B-Movie Cast fans! We’re back with another Halloween episode! This time the B-Movie clubhouse welcomes fan favorite Mark Mawston from the UK to the show! Mark and Nic put their heads together and decided it was time to tackle one of their favorite films, John Landis’s horror classic from 1981: An American Werewolf in London! This is one of the films that set the bar for good, modern werewolf films. It’s also the first film to receive an Oscar for make-up effects! So join Mary, Mark and Nic as they bring Halloween home with some classic werewolf fun! But remember- stay on the path and beware of the moon!

Special Announcement! The 2017 Rondo Awards!

Hello B-Movie Cast Family.

Mary asked me to post a special announcement and let everyone know that Vince is being inducted into the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards – Monster Kid Hall of Fame for 2017! We’re all very excited about this and we know that somewhere Vince is excited too! 

The Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards will be given out in an award ceremony on Saturday June 3rd from 5-7pm as part of Wonderfest in Louisville Kentucky! (info at the bottom of the post)

 

We want to thank everyone who took the time to vote for this year’s awards and to help us get Vince inducted into the Hall of Fame. He was a true Monster Kid and we’re beyond thrilled that he’s getting the recognition he deserves! 

Wonderfest is the annual Sci Fi/Horror/Hobby Expo in Louisville, KY. It features celebrity guests from the world of Movie FX, Horror and more! This year’s event is going to be held on Saturday June 3 & Sunday June 4 at the Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport Hotel, 830 Phillips Lane, Louisville, KY 40209.
