Episode 419: Batman The Movie – 1966

Holy 80th anniversaries! Hey B-Movie Cast fans, Mary and Nic are joined by the Amazing Fiona Young-Brown (AKA- Nic’s wife) on this show as we take a look at a masterpiece of 1960’s camp cinema- “Batman” (the Movie). Between seasons 1 and 2 of the TV show they produced a feature film that has the caped crusader and his youthful ward Dick taking on the ultimate collection of villains- The Joker, The Riddler, The Penguin and Cat Woman!

Will the dynamic duo be able to thwart these dastardly doers of dirty deeds? Probably. The real question is has Nic figured out the link between this film and Marvel’s “Avengers Infinity War” – Nic thinks he has – and if he’s right “Avengers End Game” will have a surprising cameo by a couple of Gotham’s finest… if they can get the Bat-Dust-Separator out of storage and back in working order!

Seriously though- join us for some fun with a true B-Movie Classic.

Episode 418: The Mummy

This week on the B-Movie Cast Mary and Nic are joined by special guest Eric Brooks! Eric is a long-time friend of Nic. Eric is also an Egyptologist with a bunch of degrees in museum stuff and the like (yeah I’m being technical). Point is, Eric knows his Egyptian history and is the perfect co-host for our episode featuring the Universal Horror classic: The Mummy!

Find out why it’s a bad idea to open cursed boxes and also why you may not want to trust a guy in fez hat!

At the helm of Film Freaks is the directing duo of Bill Fulkerson and Kyle Kuchta, who have spent the last three years making the documentary.

Episode 417: The Ghost of Sierra De Cobre

The B-Movie Cast is back! This time Mary, Nic and Juan take on the 1964 film “The Ghost of Sierra De Cobre”. This was originally shot to be the pilot for a TV show called “The Haunted” but when that didn’t work out the producers decided to make it a feature film. Though rarely seen in the US, the film was a hit overseas. It stars Martin Landau (“Space 1999”, “Mission Impossible”, “Ed Wood”).

Also this week Mary launches a special double contest for the show’s listeners with a collector’s edition set of trading cards as the prize! So grab your TV dinner, open a cold beer and get ready to check out “The Ghost of Sierra De Cobre”… or as Nic thinks of it- The X-Files from the 60s.

Episode 416: Reptilicus!

Mary, Nic and Juan are back! This time the gang is checking out something new… a Danish Kaiju flick: “Reptilicus”! The film was produced by the company behind many of our favorite B-Movies: American International Pictures. They partnered with Danish production company Saga Studios and filmed and released two separate versions: one in Denmark and one in the United States.

Since none of us speak Danish, we’re checking out the English language version. So grab some snacks, a cold drink and get ready for some green slime spitting, giant reptile, crazy dialogue. sometimes slightly out of focus fun with “Reptilicus”!

Oh and take a minute to check out Nic’s new film project: Wretch coming out on iTunes January 29th!

Episode 415: Christmas In Connecticut (1945)

The B-Movie Cast is back with a bonus episode just in time for the Holidays! Mary and Nic decided to do one of Fiona’s favorite holiday films: “Christmas in Connecticut” (the 1945 one, not the one directed by Arnold Schwarzenegger). In fact, we are not only doing one of her favorite holiday films, but we also asked her to join us on the show! Not a typical B-Movie Cast Christmas film, but it’s still a lot of fun.

This is a Christmas film that doesn’t have a lot of Christmas in it… in fact, it starts with a German U-Boat! But that’s no problem because Uncle Felix says it’s all “hunky dunky”! So sit back, grab a TV dinner and a beer and get ready for fun with the B-Movie Cast!

Episode 414: The Hebrew Hammer

Hey, B-Movie Cast fans! It’s the Holiday Season so the B-Movie clubhouse is decking the halls with some holiday fun! This year we thought we’d do something a little different for the season, so Mary, Nic, and Juan are checking out the first “Jewspolotation” film- “The Hebrew Hammer”. When Santa’s psycho son takes over Christmas his first goal is to wipe out Hanukah! Fortunately, The Hebrew Hammer is on the case! This is a 2003 comedy that may not be for everyone, but it is a lot of fun!

So grab a cold beer, heat up a TV dinner and get ready for a good time with The B-Movie Cast!
