Episode 417: The Ghost of Sierra De Cobre

The B-Movie Cast is back! This time Mary, Nic and Juan take on the 1964 film “The Ghost of Sierra De Cobre”. This was originally shot to be the pilot for a TV show called “The Haunted” but when that didn’t work out the producers decided to make it a feature film. Though rarely seen in the US, the film was a hit overseas. It stars Martin Landau (“Space 1999”, “Mission Impossible”, “Ed Wood”).

Also this week Mary launches a special double contest for the show’s listeners with a collector’s edition set of trading cards as the prize! So grab your TV dinner, open a cold beer and get ready to check out “The Ghost of Sierra De Cobre”… or as Nic thinks of it- The X-Files from the 60s.

Episode 416: Reptilicus!

Mary, Nic and Juan are back! This time the gang is checking out something new… a Danish Kaiju flick: “Reptilicus”! The film was produced by the company behind many of our favorite B-Movies: American International Pictures. They partnered with Danish production company Saga Studios and filmed and released two separate versions: one in Denmark and one in the United States.

Since none of us speak Danish, we’re checking out the English language version. So grab some snacks, a cold drink and get ready for some green slime spitting, giant reptile, crazy dialogue. sometimes slightly out of focus fun with “Reptilicus”!

Oh and take a minute to check out Nic’s new film project: Wretch coming out on iTunes January 29th!

Episode 412: An American Werewolf in London

Hey B-Movie Cast fans! We’re back with another Halloween episode! This time the B-Movie clubhouse welcomes fan favorite Mark Mawston from the UK to the show! Mark and Nic put their heads together and decided it was time to tackle one of their favorite films, John Landis’s horror classic from 1981: An American Werewolf in London! This is one of the films that set the bar for good, modern werewolf films. It’s also the first film to receive an Oscar for make-up effects! So join Mary, Mark and Nic as they bring Halloween home with some classic werewolf fun! But remember- stay on the path and beware of the moon!

Episode 411: Monsters Wanted

It’s the Halloween season and the B-Movie Cast has some spooky-fun treats for you! This episode Mary and Nic are joined by Brian Cunningham from Thoughtfly Studios! Brian and Nic worked together on the films “Loss Prevention” and “Wretch”, but for this show, we thought we’d talk about Brian’s documentary “Monsters Wanted”. It’s a fun and touching look into the world of haunted attractions, or ‘haunts’. This film shows that sometimes the scariest thing you can do is follow your dreams, though guys with chainsaws are still pretty terrifying!  So grab a beer, warm up a TV dinner and enjoy the first of 2018 Halloween casts!
